The classic monobloc chair is a true icon of its time, you either love it or hate it. As one of the most mass-produced and affordable chairs in the world, it’s a multipurpose piece that has gained global recognition. People often modify the chair to serve new functions, but it’s also notorious for breaking easily or being neglected.
In the project “Adaptations,” I aim to explore playful, creative, and imaginative solutions for these broken parts, transforming them into miniature sculptures. This approach highlights the chair’s fragility while giving new life to something often overlooked or abandoned.
